This is a picture from an asylum where this woman was a patient. There was a time when alcoholics and drug addicts were sent to places like this, because in the end, every addict is basically insane, no matter the era. I’m sure everyone has heard insanity defined as doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
After using opiates and heroin for 17 of the last 19 years, I finally decided to stop, with a lot of help from above .
Gone is my pharmacy license, wife, respect and trust of friends, a ton of money and possessions, but after landing in the psych ward after an attempted overdose, concessions were made.
I was not going to make it much longer. Something had to change inside of me. Thank God it did.
